56 year old Albion resident, Carl “Rusty” Compton, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Wabash General Hospital in Mt. Carmel, Illinois
Rusty was born on April 16, 1968 in Mt. Carmel, Illinois to Carl E. and Evelyn (Clark) Compton. Rusty had worked several years at IGA in Albion.
Survivors include his son; Carl R. Compton, Jr. of Albion, 1 brother; Johnny (Patricia) Compton of Albion, one sister; Terri Compton of Evansville, Indiana, one sister in law; Peggy Compton of Bellmont. 3 nephews; Jacob, Karlin and Dalton Compton, 2 nieces; Carissa Kincart and Andrea Richards, along with several cousins.
Rusty was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers; Donnie and Tony Compton and 2 sisters; Taunua Compton and Tammy Stearns
Funeral services for Carl “Rusty” Compton will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Nale’s Funeral Home in Albion. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 7, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to time of services at Nale’s.
