Dale Lee Youngblood, 67, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 1:03 am May 17, 2024 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon. He was born May 19, 1956 in Fairfield, Illinois to Perry Dale and Norma Jean (Richards) Youngblood.
Dale is survived by his mother, Norma Jean Youngblood of Mount Vernon, Illinois; brother, Larry Youngblood of Mount Vernon, Illinois; sister, Linda Smith of Keenes, Illinois; and several nieces including special niece, Sheree Youngblood of Arkansas, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
Dale was preceded in death by his father, Perry Dale Youngblood and brother, Don Youngblood.
Dale retired from being a truck driver and it was a passion he loved. He was a member of Ten Post Oak Baptist Church. Dale was a loving, quiet man and will be dearly missed.
A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Ten Post Oak Cemetery in Keenes, Illinois. Interment will follow. Memorials may be made in Dale’s honor to Ten Post Oak Baptist Church or Ten Post Oak Cemetery.
The Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon is in charge of all the arrangements.
