Shirley WyVonne McComas, 88, of Grayville, Illinois, died Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Villas of Holly Brook in Mt. Carmel, Illinois. She was born October 18, 1935, the daughter of Woodrow and Gertrude (Nolen) Funkhouser. She was married to Finis “Mac” McComas on December 25, 1955, and he preceded her in death on May 27, 2015.

Shirley worked with her husband, Mac, in the Grayville Insurance Agency. She was a member of Cornerstone Fellowship Church in Grayville. She enjoyed her church and bible study, and she was an avid reader and enjoyed bowling.

Survivors include daughter Julia Hartman of Grayville; brothers Bobby Joe ( Brenda) Funkhouser of Grayville, Steve (Patti) Funkhouser of Cowling, Illinois, Randy (Belinda) Funkhouser of Grayville; sisters Patsy (Robert) Ragsdale of Okawville, Illinois, Sally (Dave) Bosecker, Connie (Dave) Spruell, all of Grayville; grandchildren Brandon Raymond and Brian (Natasha) Raymond; and great-grandchildren Annastasia, Kali, Josie, Brandon Jr., Aiden,  Madilynn, Myla, Riot, and Ava; and special friends Samantha Hoy and Sherry Hinds.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son Kevin Dale McComas; brothers Jim, Tom, and Ronnie Funkhouser; sisters Flo Meritt and Peggy Hamilton.

Visitation and funeral are Saturday, May 25, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Grayville, Illinois. Visitation is at 10 am and funeral is at 12 noon. Burial is in Oak Grove Cemetery in Grayville, Illinois.

Memorials may be made to Cornerstone Fellowship Church in Grayville, and will be accepted at the visitation and funeral at First Baptist Church in Grayville, Illinois.
