Randall C. “Randy” Thompson, 66, of Albion, Illinois, formerly of Grayville, Illinois, died Monday, May 27, 2024, at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. He was born August 16, 1957, in Saline County, Illinois, the son of Thurman and Louise (Phelps) Thompson.
Randy was retired from Champion Laboratories in Albion, Illinois, and later retired from his job as janitor for the Edwards County, Illinois, courthouse. He was an avid bowler and he enjoyed walking the streets of Albion and playing poker.
Survivors include brothers Leon Thompson of Flora, Illinois, Darrel (Kathy) Thompson of Carmi, Illinois, and Kenny (Kathy) Thompson of Grayville, Illinois; and brother-in-law Bob Lewallen.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister Kay Lewallen.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 30th at 1pm at the Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville. Visitation will be held from 11am until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Cook Funeral Chapel for the benefit of Randy’s family.
