Patricia Lee Fuqua, age 75 and resident of McLeansboro, IL, passed away at 6:10 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2024 at her home. Pat was born July 21, 1948 to Coy and Monette (Taylor) Braden in Macedonia, IL. She attended school in Hamilton County and later married Authur Hayward Fuqua, Jr. on February 18, 1967 in McLeansboro, IL and he preceded her in death October 30, 1991.
Pat was the owner/operator of P.J.’s Café for over 20 years. She attended The First General Baptist Church of McLeansboro and she loved spending time with all of her family but especially the grandchildren.
Survivors include Daughter Lacy Eck and husband Ryan, Springerton; Son Cory Fuqua of Dahlgren; Grandchildren Brier Eck, Blane Eck, Bryce Eck, Mallory Eck, Marlee Fuqua and Cooper Fuqua; Sister Anita Hill and husband Kenneth, Decatur, IL; Brother Richard Braden and wife Linda, McLeansboro; Sister-in-Law Sue Miracle of New Harmony, IN; Several Nieces and Nephews.
Pat was preceded in death by her Parents Coy and Monette Braden; Husband Arthur “Junior” Fuqua; Sister Gayle Braden and Companion Ron Prince (3/25/2016).
GRAVESIDE ONLY SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 11:00 A.M. THURSDAY, JUNE 27, 2024 IN THE I.O.O.F. CEMETERY, McLEANSBORO, IL WITH BOB BROCKETT OFFICIATING. MEMORIALS ARE REQUESTED TO BE MADE TO HOSPICE OF SOUTHERN ILLINOIS AND WILL BE ACCEPTED BY HARRE FUNERAL HOME
