The Eastern Illinois Foodbank is hosting food distribution events in Clay County to assist families facing food insecurity. Attendees are requested to bring boxes or bags for transporting food.
The Food Mobile will be stationed at various locations on Monday:
Band Stand on Front Street in Xenia from 9 to 9:30 am
Flora’s Rotary Park from 10 to 11 am
Lot at 500 South Main in Clay City from 11:30 am to Noon
Louisville Baseball Field from 1 to 1:45 pm
Pre-registration at www.EIFclient.com is encouraged, although it does not guarantee a spot in line. There are income guidelines to qualify for assistance.
This initiative is part of the Foodbank’s Foodmobile Program, aimed at providing nutritious food to rural and underserved areas through mobile food pantries.
