FAIRFIELD GRADE SCHOOL BOARD MEETING RECAP FROM MONDAY JULY 15TH

The Fairfield Grade School District Board of Education met Monday night for their regular monthly meeting.

 

In the Superintendent’s Report, the district received 98% of its anticipated revenue from FY 24 and expended 89% of the FY 24 budget.  The district is in good shape with the food service balance at $266,478.17.  The district is still seeking bus drivers for the upcoming school year.

 

The district received fuel bids from Wabash Valley and Mach 1. The district will continue with Wabash Valley for fuel for FY 25.

 

The school district depositories are FNB and People’s National Bank and the fee for the alternative school is the same as last year at $7277.

 

The Board agreed for the Superintendent and Bookkeeper to develop the tentative budget and the Threat Assessment Plan will be reviewed annually with the Board.

 

The Board reviewed the Employee, Coaching and Transportation Handbooks and adopted changes to the student handbook.

 

An update was given to the Board on cleaning and projects at both schools in preparation for the new school year and following a closed session, the Board hired Mike Hart as Assistant Softball Coach.
