Fairfield Public School District #112 will conduct registration for all students in preschool through 8th grade today (Wednesaday) at North Side School. Enter through the cafeteria doors on the north end of the school. Signs will be posted. The hours of registration will be from 9am to 6 pm. ALL students must register prior to the beginning of school.
Horizon Healthcare will be on-site to provide School and/or Sports Physicals at no cost and no appointment is necessary, although a parent or legal guardian must be present. All new and returning Preschool students should plan to attend registration. First and third year preschool students will need to provide physical and proof of household income, as required by the State of Illinois. Busing will be set up at this time also.
Registration fees for grades K-8 will be $40 with an additional $20 Technology fee for 4th through 8th grades. Registration fees must be paid at the time of registration. Every child entering school for the first time and those entering sixth grade must present proof of a physical examination. Every child entering grades Kindergarten, 2nd and 6th grades must present proof of a dental examination. All kindergarten students and those entering school for the first time, age kindergarten and older, must present proof of eye exam. Students are encouraged to have all the required examinations and immunizations completed by the start of school. However, students will be excluded if the school has not received the health and physical immunizations by 30 days from the student’s first day of enrollment. Therefore, it will be necessary for parents to make appointments with their healthcare providers as soon as possible.
School opens with Teacher’s Institutes on August 12th & 13th. The first day for students in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade will be Wednesday, August 14th with a 1:00/1:10 dismissal. The first day for Pre-K students will be Wednesday, August 21st with buses running on a temporary schedule the first week. Children who are not eligible to ride a bus may do so by paying a fee of $80 for the first child and $40 for each additional child. Transportation fees must be paid before bus service begins.
