WAYNE COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT HANDLES PERSONAL INJURY CRASH SUNDAY IN CISNE

Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a two vehicle personal injury accident late Sunday morning in Cisne.  Deputies says just before 12 noon Sunday,  a 2018 Ford Escape driven by 70-year-old Barbara Grow of Chowchilla, CA was southbound on Rt. 45 and came around the curve at the Rt. 45/IL 161 interchange when a westbound 2008 Honda motorcycle driven by 74-year-old Joe Grubb of Carlyle, IL attempting to go west on the IL 161 extension was struck by the Grow vehicle.  Grubb was injured in the crash and was transported to Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville by Wayne County Ambulance personnel for treatment of his injuries.  Grow and a passenger in her vehicle, 84 year- old Amanda Rose from Iuka were not injured. Joe Grubb was issued a citation for Failure To Reduce Speed To Avoid An Accident.
