The CDC has issued a warning about a listeria outbreak linked to deli meat, which has unfortunately resulted in two fatalities and numerous hospitalizations across multiple states. As of the latest update, at least 28 individuals have been hospitalized due to this outbreak. The actual number of affected individuals may be higher as some milder cases might not have been tested for listeria.
The specific type of deli meat responsible for the outbreak has not been identified yet, and as a result, no recalls have been issued. However, reports indicate that many of the affected individuals had consumed liverwurst or turkey, while others mentioned having eaten ham before falling ill.
