The annual Parkersburg Chowder event is this Saturday at the Community Building and Park in Parkersburg. The morning kicks off with the Tractor Display opening at 10:00, offering a charming sight for all attendees. 800 gallons of chowder will be prepared and guests can enjoy chowder by the bowl, as a carryout option, or conveniently through the drive-thru lane starting at 10:30.
In addition to the chowder, there will be a variety of other food choices available, including pork barbecue, fresh salads, and an assortment of pies and cakes. The festivities continue with the lineup for the Annual Parade beginning at 12:45 at the Christian Church, followed by the parade kick-off at 1:00. This year’s Grand Marshalls, the children of August and Norma Jean Pampe, will lead the parade
All proceeds from this event will go towards supporting the Oak Hill Cemetery in Parkersburg.
