ILLINOIS STATE POLICE HANDLE VEHICLE ACCIDENT TUESDAY EVENING NEAR CLAY CITY

Illinois State Police Troop 9 responded to a report of a two vehicle accident with injuries Tuesday evening just after 6:30 at the intersection of US 50 and Main St. at Clay City.  State Police say a Gray Kia SUV and a Silver Chevrolet Truck were involved. The vehicles were moved out of the roadway. Occupants in both of the vehicles reported minor injuries and refused EMS on scene. The driver of the Kia was issued a citation for Failure to Yield at a Stop Intersection.  Illinois State Police continue to investigate the crash.
