Jason Paul Hulfachor, 61, of Patton, IL, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, in Princeton, IN. Jason was born in Mt. Carmel on Thursday, March 14, 1963, to Eugene Paul and Evalyn Naoma Meador Hulfachor, both of whom have preceded in death. Jason is a 1981 graduate of Edwards County High School in Albion, IL.
Jason grew up in a loving and caring family with his dad, mom, and sister in Bone Gap, IL and often referred to himself as a “Bone Gapper” or a “Bone Gappian.” Throughout his life, he stayed interested in Bone Gap and the surrounding areas. For a time, he lived in Milwaukee, WI and was employed by Midway Airlines. After the closing of Midway Airlines, he moved back to Illinois to open J’s Seafood Shop. He was employed by Walmart of Princeton as an unloader until he retired in 2019.
Jason was an easy-going guy who made people feel comfortable with his lightheartedness, witty humor, and joking ways. He was always reliable, kind, positive, humble, and unselfish and was consistently there for his family and others. He cared deeply about people and loved helping them. He was a “behind the scenes” guy, never wanting credit or recognition for what he did. It came from his heart. Jason was a regular listener of Gospel Preaching.
Jason loved sports, watching TV, music, grilling out, and metal detecting. He is now and will continue to be deeply missed by everyone who loved and cared about him. He was a man of peace and is resting peacefully with his parents and other loved ones in the arms of Jesus.
Jason is survived by his sister, Janet Hulfachor, of Princeton, IN, his nephew, Aappacchhess Aanniyyaahh, of Princeton, IN, and girlfriend, Christie Woodruff, also of Princeton, IN.
Jason is preceded in death by his father, Eugene Hulfachor, October 9, 2010, and mother, Evalyn Hulfachor, on February 22, 2023.
