86 year old former Albion, Illinois resident, Melvin Earl Campbell passed away November 23, 2023 at his residence in Rogue River, Oregon.
Melvin was born on December 4, 1936 in Albion, Illinois to James and Pauline Campbell. Melvin was a kind and adventurous man, in his younger days, he worked on the farm, oil fields, made fuel pumps at Airtex. He also worked for the city of Albion for several years.
Melvin was first married to Lilly Harris and they had one daughter, Julie. He later married Edna Leveque and she preceded his in death.
Survivors include 1 daughter, Julie (Rodger) Coale, grandchildren; Amy (Reev) Solis, Jackie (Josh) Walker. Great grandchildren; Anna Walker, Coale Walker, Kaira Walker, Chloe Walker. Sisters, Doris Bailey and Charlene Hite. Step family includes Bill (Debbie) Leveque & grand daughter, Kelly (Robbie) Turner and girls. Steve Leveque and granddaughter Mellissa (Clayton) Merrick and family. Stephen Leveque and family Cheryl Leveque & special friend Michael Williams and granddaughter Carla (Doug) Miller& son Kris Leveque, grandsons Tyler Leveque & family, Adam (Kiera) Leveque & family.
Preceding him in death were his parents, 11 brothers and sisters & both wives.
Graveside services for Melvin Earl Campbell will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Graceland Cemetery in Albion. Friends and family are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
