NEW FIRE CHIEF SWORN IN AT MT VERNON

On Monday, Chris Yenne officially took on the role of Fire Chief for the City of Mt. Vernon. His journey within the Mt. Vernon Fire Department, as detailed in a post on the Mt. Vernon Fire Fighters Facebook page, began on June 3, 2002. Over the years, he progressed through the ranks, moving from Firefighter to Lieutenant on Dec. 22, 2010, and then to Captain on Feb. 10, 2017. Recognizing his dedication and skills, Chief Yenne was appointed as the Assistant Fire Chief on Aug. 21, 2023.
