CISNE REUNION BEGINS TONIGHT AND RUNS THROUGH SATURDAY

The 2024 Cisne Reunion is set to kick off  tonight (Wednesday) with a full schedule of events. The opening ceremonies will begin at 6:30 pm, featuring the introduction of Ernie Lewis, the Parade Marshal for this year and the pastor of the Blue Point Free Will Baptist Church. The theme for this year’s reunion is “Thank God for Small Towns.” Church Night will follow at 7 pm, with The Sound, a father/son musical group, set to perform. In case of rain, the concert will be relocated to the fire department.

Tomorrow night (Thursday), the pageants will take center stage at 7 pm, alongside Bingo from 7 to 9 pm. Participants will compete in the Tiny Tot, Little Miss, Junior Miss, and Miss Cisne Reunion pageants, with 13 young ladies vying for the title.

Friday will feature a performance by The Duke Boys at 7 pm in the park, along with Bingo from 7 to 9 pm.

Saturday will kick off with race day registration and a community breakfast at the Community Center. Registration starts at 6 am, followed by the breakfast from 7 to 10 am. The day’s events include the 1-mile Fun Run at 7:30 am, the 5K Run/Walk at 8 am, Kids’ Games, an FFA Petting Zoo on the square from 10 am to noon, and a Pedal Pull at noon on the southwest corner of the Cisne square. The annual parade will line up at 2 pm at the high school, with the parade itself commencing at 2:30 pm. Special recognition will be given to the Cisne High School graduating class of 1974 (50 years) and the class of 1999 (25 years).

Bingo will run from 5 to 9 pm on Saturday, and the reunion will come to a close with a performance by The Andy King Band on the main stage starting at 7 pm.
