62-year-old Timothy Hutcheson of Fairfield was arrested by Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputies Saturday night on numerous charges. Just after 7 o’clock, deputies responded to a possible fight in progress in a rural area northeast of Fairfield. When deputies arrived, they spoke to a witness that stated Hutcheson stopped a vehicle travelling past his residence and began undoing the straps on their trailer. The driver exited the vehicle and Hutcheson attacked the driver defending himself. Hutcheson then reportedly retrieved a 2 x 4 piece of wood and struck the driver of the vehicle and the driver again defended himself. Hutcheson then fled back inside the residence.
Deputies arrived at the Hutcheson residence and made contact with Hutcheson and placed him in custody. During the arrest, deputies observed Hutcheson attempt to discard contraband. The item was located and field tested positive for methamphetamine. Hutcheson has been charged with:
Possession of Methamphetamine, Aggravated Battery, Obstructing Justice and a Wayne County Warrant issued in July for Aggravated Fleeing or Eluding a Peace Officer and Criminal Trespass to Real Property. Hutcheson was transported and booked into the Wayne County.
