MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL:
The St. Louis Cardinals managed just four hits during a 4-1 loss to the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park. Erick Fedde was charged with his sixth loss after allowing four runs on six hits in six innings, while Nolan Arenado went deep in the losing effort.The Cardinals remain in second place in the NL Central at 60-and-60. St. Louis sends Kyle Gibson to the mound against the Reds tonight.

The Chicago Cubs had just five hits during a 2-1 loss to the Cleveland Guardians at Progressive Field. The game was tied at one until Drew Smyly surrendered a go-ahead home run to Jhonkensy Noel in the bottom of the sixth The Cubs remain in fourth place in the NL Central at 59-and-62. The Northsiders send Jameson Taillon to the mound against the Guardians tonight.

The Chicago White Sox are back in the loss column after a 4-1 defeat at the hands of the New York Yankees. The Sox are in last place in the AL Central at 29-and-92.

Little League Baseball’s biggest event begins today. The Little League World Series starts in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The 20-team tournament has 10 teams from the United States and 10 International Teams.

Blues Tender Offer Sheets To Two Players

The St. Louis Blues are trying to lure a pair of Oilers players away from Edmonton. Philip Broberg and forward Dylan Holloway both signed offer sheets with the Blues yesterday. Edmonton has a week to match the offer sheets, or else the two restricted free agents will officially become members of the Blues. Broberg had two assists in 12 games last season, while Holloway scored six goals and tallied three assists in 38 appearances.
