BOBCATS VOLLEYBALL:
Frontier College Bobcats Volleyball hosted Shawnee Community Colege in a scrimmage last (Wednesday) night. Five sets were played with Frontier winning 3-2.
MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL:
The St. Louis Cardinals dipped back below .500 with a 9-2 loss to the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park. The Cardinals are in third place in the NL Central at 60-and-61. They host the Dodgers tomorrow night.
Lynn To Throw Bullpen Session:
Lance Lynn is getting closer to returning to the Cardinals rotation. Oli Marmol told reporters that Lynn is scheduled to throw a bullpen session tomorrow in St. Louis. It will be Lynn’s second session since injuring his knee during a starts last month. The 37-year-old is 6-and-4 with a 4.06 ERA in 21 starts this season.
The Chicago Cubs had just five hits during a 6-1 loss to the Cleveland Guardians at Progressive Field. The Northsiders are in fourth place in the NL Central at 59-and-63. Chicago hosts Toronto tomorrow.
The Chicago White Sox surrendered three home runs during a 10-2 loss to the New York Yankees at Guaranteed Rate Field. The Southsiders are in last place in the AL Central at 29-and-93. They visit Houston tomorrow night.

NFL Preseason Week Two Preview:
Week Two of the NFL preseason kicks off on Thursday. The New England Patriots host the Philadelphia Eagles at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. There are no games on Friday this week but 13 on Saturday. Preseason Week Two wraps up on Sunday with the Denver Broncos hosting the Green Bay Packers and the San Francisco 49ers hosting the New Orleans Saints.
NBA To Release 2024-25 Schedule Today
The NBA will unveil the full schedule for the 2024-25 season today. The season will tipoff in Boston with the Celtics starting their title defense against the New York Knicks. Opening night will also reportedly see LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers hosting Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves. The NBA is also set to play five games on Christmas this season. Among the holiday games are the San Antonio Spurs taking on the Knicks in New York, the Golden State Warriors hosting the Lakers and the Denver Nuggets playing the Suns in Phoenix.
Report: Indianapolis To Host 2025 WNBA All-Star Game
Gainbridge Fieldhouse will be hosting some of basketball’s best once again. According to ESPN, the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game will be held in Indianapolis at the home of the Indiana Fever. It will be the first time that Indianapolis is hosting the WNBA All-Star Game. The city recently held the 2024 NBA All-Star Game, and will also be hosting the 2026 men’s Final Four at Lucas Oil Stadium and the 2028 women’s Final Four at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Indiana is currently third in the Eastern Conference at 11-and-15 and will return from its Olympic break on Friday when it hosts the Phoenix Mercury
