The Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs, along with the Illinois Department of Agriculture and the DuQuoin State Fair, is hosting a free day at the DuQuoin State Fair for veterans and their families this Sunday. This annual event features entertainment, a Gold Star Rose Ceremony, keynote speakers, and a resource fair focused on veteran services, with the theme “Service Across the Generations.”
Veterans can gain free admission by presenting any form of military ID, though parking is not included. The day’s schedule is as follows: entertainment begins at 11:00 am, lunch is served at noon, and the Gold Star Rose Ceremony along with the main program starts at 1:30 pm.
