Fairfield Community High School will be hosting, “Meet The Mules” tonight at the Train Yard. Events will begin at 5:45 with Cross Country, Tennis, Golf, and Volleyball team introductions followed by a Volleyball scrimmage in the newly remodeled Mule Barn. At 6:45, Football and Cheerleader introductions will take place before the Mules and the Olney Tigers play a scrimmage game. This is something new this year as the IHSA is giving schools the option to have a football pre-season scrimmage. Admission to the scrimmage will be free. The Mules were scheduled to open up the season Saturday, August 31st against Vienna/Goreville, but for the third time in the last four seasons, Vienna-Goreville will not play a varsity football schedule and the Mules will get a forfeit win over Vienna-Goreville. The first home game for the Mules against Eldorado will be Friday, September 6th with kick-off at 7pm
