A Mt. Vernon, IL man is in jail, accused of pointing a gun at another person in Mt. Vernon earlier this week.
Media reports say the Mt. Vernon Police Department posted information on their Facebook page, stating they received a report of someone riding a motorcycle and pointing a gun at someone along Broadway Street in the early morning hours this past Thursday. Police said the person, identified as 57-year-old Bradley Kelley of Mt. Vernon, IL, was also suspected to be involved in a road rage incident previously. Police pulled over Kelley’s motorcycle at South 10thand Main Street in Mt. Vernon, and said they found a gun.
Reports say Kelley faces charges of Aggravated Assault and Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon. He was taken to the Jefferson County Jail following his arrest.
