Wayne City FFA Chapter will be hosting a benefit lunch and auction for former Wayne City FFA member, Keegan Smith. The benefit will be held Sunday, September 22nd with a meal from 11:30am to 2pm. The auction will begin at 1pm in the Wayne City Performance Gym. Proceeds from the benefit lunch and auction will go toward the medical and travel expenses of Keegan Smith, who is battling Osteosarcoma bone cancer. He recently began treatment at the Siteman Cancer Center in St. Louis and is undergoing chemo every three weeks. Smith, was a former officer and member of the Wayne City FFA and is now an alumni member. Smith who is now 20 years old was in the inaugural Sydenstrecker-Nobbe John Deere Program at Wentzeville, MO and he works at SN Partners south of Wayne City.
