A rubbish fire erupted at a home on Southwest 7th Street in Fairfield on Friday evening, spreading to a pickup truck, pallets, and a trailer at the property belonging to Scott Iverson. Firefighters from both Fairfield City and Fairfield Rural were dispatched just before 5 p.m. and swiftly extinguished the blaze before it could reach the house. No injuries were reported.
