FIRE DESTROYS GARAGE OFF ROSEWOOD LANE TUESDAY EVENING

Fairfield Rural Firemen along with mutual aid from the Fairfield City Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 782 County Rd 1700E off Rosewood Lane southwest of Fairfield just after 6 o’clock Tuesday evening.  Fairfield Rural Fire Chief, David Vaughan says a garage being used by Michael Vaughan was fully engulfed when firemen arrived.  Michael Vaughan lived in a camper on the property, the camper was unharmed.  Fire officials says the garage is a total loss and it appears the fire started in the rear area of the garage.  Firemen were on the scene for approximately one a a half hours.  No injuries were reported.
