Two 11 year old kids are in legal trouble after an incident earlier this week at a Centralia school.
According to published reports, Centralia Police said they were informed of a threat made on September 11th at the Centralia Junior High School, and started an investigation. Police learned where the message came from, and later took an 11 year old into custody. Centralia police worked with the Marion County State’s Attorney’s Office and the Marion County Probation Department on the protocol for an 11 year old to be in custody. The child was later released to a family member. The 11 year old had been accused of making threats at the school, and was charged with felony Disorderly Conduct.
Centralia police later indicated another 11 year old confessed to a separate threat that had been posted on social media, and school officials were notified of the threat. The second 11 year old was also charged with felony Disorderly Conduct, and released to the custody of a guardian.
