The Fairfield Park District Board met last Thursday evening with a very light agenda.
Park Superintendent, Chris Jenkins reported that the swimming pool has passed State inspection and that the tennis court resurfacing and restriping will be completed soon. Jenkins also reported that the new light pole for Veterans Field has been ordered to replace the damaged pole and the island green at the Golf Course has been repaired.
The OSLAD Grant for the Splash Pad has been submitted to the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. Grant awards should be known in February or March, 2025.
Finally, the Bond Ordinance was approved for a Park Improvement Bond in the amount of $225,000 to be due November 1, 2025.
