TRIAL DATE SET FOR AYDREIAN HOOPER

Aydreian Hooper, a 36-year-old woman from Fairfield, is set to face a jury trial on October 7th in Wayne County Circuit Court regarding the tragic hot car death of her 17-month-old son, Aaruan. A final pretrial hearing was held last Thursday.   She has been charged with involuntary manslaughter, two counts of endangering the life of a child, and reckless conduct after allegedly leaving her children in a hot car for hours at their home. Her two-year-old son, Gage Hooper Gonzales, is recovering from severe brain damage due to the incident. Following these events, her five other children have been placed in the care of their grandmother in Mt. Vernon. Hooper has been in custody at the Wayne County Jail since her arrest on July 25th.
