WAYNE COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT HANDLE PROPERTY DAMAGE CRASH MONDAY AFTERNOON

Wayne County Sheriff’s Department handled a property damage accident Monday afternoon on County Hwy 16 near County Rd 975E just east of Johnsonville.  Just before 12:30, a 1998 Dodge Ram driven by 17-year-old Gregory Allen of Cisne was negotiating a curve when due to the wet road conditions, the vehicle hydroplaned and ran off the right side of the roadway.  Allen steered the vehicle back onto the roadway an went off on the left side of the road.  The vehicle spun around in the wet grass and struck a fence.  No injuries were reported.
