The Fairfield City Council met last (Tuesday) night at City Hall with a light agenda. The city council approved purchasing the property located at 303 NE 7th St. The city will pay the taxes owed and will then seek bids to demolish the house. The council also approved an additional $7,400 for road projects on Airport Rd and Farrington Farm Rdand approved signing a new funding agreement with the State of Illinois to complete resurfacing the section in front of Northside Grade School.
Tyler Kamp was appointed Leadperson at the Water Filtration Plant and the council will seek bids on chemicals for the filtration plant.
