Due to heavy rains in the forecast, the Appleknocker Festival, hosted by the Flora Academic Foundation will be moved indoors to the Flora High School Saturday. Activities start at 9:30 AM with a flag-raising ceremony by the Shooting Stars Drill Team. The Flora High School Band will perform at 9:45 AM, followed by DAS-zle Dance and Tumble at 10:40 AM. Randy Erwin takes the stage at 12:15 PM, and Power and Grace Tumbling and Dance will perform at 1:20 PM.
There will be food and games available all day. The Clay County Farm Bureau Young Leaders will host a pedal tractor pull, and Clay County emergency vehicles will be open for tours. The Clay County CEO will have a dunk tank and sell bobba drinks.
All proceeds will benefit the Flora Academic Foundation, which supports programs and educational opportunities for children in the Flora Unit School District. The festival will conclude at 2:30 PM.
