WAYNE COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT HANDLES TWO ACCIDENTS

Wayne County Sheriff’s Department responded to a single vehicle accident Friday night just after 6 o’clock on US 45 near County Rd. 1125N between Fairfield and Geff.  Deputies says Toyota Sienna minivan driven by 31-year-old Stephanie Murbarger of Flora was traveling northbound on US 45 at County Rd 1125N when the vehicle struck a tree in the roadway causing damage to the vehicle.  Murbarger was not injured.

 

Wayne County Deputies responded to another single vehicle accident Saturday morning just after 11:30 on County Hwy 12 and County Rd 1700N north of Wayne City.  A 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by 16-year-old Quinnlan Shook of Wayne City was northbound on County Hwy 12 when negotiating a curve, the vehicle went over a bumpy surface and wet roadway causing  Shook to lose control of the vehicle.  The Jeep ran off the right side of the roadway, striking a fire hydrant then a tree and finally coming to a rest.  Wayne City EMS treated Shook at the scene.
