Brent Alan Evans, 62, of Fairfield

Brent Alan Evans, 62, went home to be with the Lord on October 3, 2024, at 7:24PM at Deaconess Hospital in Henderson Kentucky after a battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Brent was born in Salem Il on December 28, 1961, to Paul M. and Juanita (Elkins) Evans. He graduated from Salem Community High School.

Brent married his soulmate, Nancy (Obrecht) on March 3, 2013. They resided in Fairfield. Many people knew him from the 38 years he worked at NAPA in Wayne City and Fairfield. Brent went on to work at Gateway Truck & Refrigeration in Mt. Vernon until his health prevented him from working in 2023.

He was a member of Lebanon North CP Church where he served as an Elder. Brent had a strong faith that was evident to those who knew him. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. Brent was proud to accompany his dad on the Honor Flight to Washington D.C. in 2012.

Brent is survived by his wife Nancy Evans of Fairfield; bonus son- Seth Lambrich of St. Louis MO; second mother- Marlene Evans of Salem; brother-Mark (Glenna) Evans of Portugal; sisters- Jodi (Steve) Mammoser of Island Grove and Lisa (Coram) Davis of Kell; mother-in-law- Bernadine Obrecht of Fairfield; grandmother- Joan Hale of Fairfield; brothers-in-law- Stan (Kathy) Obrecht of Clay City and Larry (Deb) Obrecht of Cisne; sister-in-law- Connie (Dale) Mays of Mt Vernon; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews also survive.

Brent was preceded in death by his father- Paul M. Evans (May 31, 2024), mother- Juanita Evans-Phillips, sister- Sandy K. Phillips, brother- Paul M. Evans Jr., father-in-law- William Obrecht, and grandfather- Delmar Hale.

Funeral Services for Brent Evans will be held at 10AM Wednesday October 9, 2024, at Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7PM on Tuesday October 8, 2024, at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Lebanon North CP Church and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home which is in charge of all the arrangements.
