Fairfield Memorial Hospital Chief Nursing Officer, Rachel Ewing, MSN, RN, Receives The 40 Under 40 Nurse Leaders Award From The Illinois Nurses Foundation

The Illinois Nurses Foundation recently held its annual 40 Under 40 Emerging Nurse Leaders Award Ceremony on September 19th at the Courtyard Banquets in Warrenville, IL. The Illinois Nurses Foundation established this prestigious award to honor young nurse leaders who are making a significant impact on healthcare and the nursing profession today and who will undoubtedly shape its future.

Rachel Ewing, MSN, RN, FMH Chief Nursing Officer was one of the 40 recipients of the organization’s annual 40 Under 40 Emerging Nurse Leaders Award. The award honors 40 Illinois nurses under the age of 40 on the basis of their achievements in the profession, leadership and community and association involvement.

Rachel has worked at Fairfield Memorial Hospital since 2021 when she was named as the successor for the ED Director position. She came to FMH with 6 years of extensive knowledge in trauma, cardiac and neurology emergency services. After only 1 year, Rachel accepted the responsibility of the role of Chief Nursing Officer.

Fairfield Memorial Hospital Administration and her family were present to support Rachel while she received this prestigious award.
