The Colyer Coffee House in downtown Albion is making plans to reopen after suffering significant fire damage on April 20th. Owners Meredith and Justin Miller announced the plans for revival last week, but no date has been released.
However, their efforts to repair and remodel the historic two-story building have faced considerable challenges due to insurance issues.
Despite these hurdles, the Millers are optimistic about the future of the coffee house. The historic stained glass windows that were damaged in the fire are also being restored and will be reinstalled.
Additionally, the Colyer Coffee House will sponsor a 5K run, with more information about the reopening date expected to be announced soon. The Millers look forward to welcoming patrons back soon.
