Wayne County Sheriff, Chris Otey has released additional details on a follow-up investigation to the story aired recently on the attempt to locate Joshua Musgrave of  Fairfield on a Wayne County warrant.  Otey says on Monday, September 30th deputies received a call of a subject dressed in a camouflage jacket trespassing near a residence in rural Fairfield.  Deputies arrived on the scene and observed an ATV leaving the property with a subject riding it matching the description.  Deputies got behind the four wheeler and the driver turned to look and the deputies identified the driver as Joshua Musgrave.  The deputy activated his lights and siren but the ATV fled and a pursuit was initiated.  The ATV was initially able to escape capture by driving through a wooded area.  Off duty deputies were called to the scene and a perimeter was established.  Deputies located the four wheeler but Musgrave had escaped on foot.  The four wheeler was recovered and found out to be stolen out of Wayne County.

Deputies then went to the Musgrave and Jana Carter residence in rural Geff.  While speaking with Carter, deputies observed a second four wheeler in the back yard that was also stolen out of Wayne County from a separate theft.  A search warrant was granted and during the search, items from numerous thefts and burglaries along with firearm ammunition and methamphetamine were located.

Jana Carter was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Stolen Property and Neglect of a Minor.

Following up on numerous leads to locate Musgrave, early Monday morning around 1:30 deputies went to a residence in Fairfield acting on a tip of Musgrave’s whereabouts.  While deputies were speaking with the homeowner, Musgrave attempted to flee out the back door and was taken into custody without incident and is now lodged in the Wayne County Jail. Joshua Musgrave has been  charged with:
