A generous donor has given the White County Ambulance Service a huge boost. Recently the service received a donation of $97,000 that has paid off the ambulance loan, but also significantly boosted the operations of the Ambulance Service in White County. Ambulance Director, Adam Allen is not sharing the name of the donor, but also says that the service is now a certified and approved Red Cross Training Center. They are now able to provide classes to any individuals who would like to have certifications, including teaching anything up to the paramedic level, PALS, ACLS, CPR and blood-borne pathogens. Allen says White County is one of the few that will be able to do the paramedic-type classes in the area.
Books, equipment, training, and other materials were needed to be Red Cross approved, a cost totaling $7,000. Allen says a group made a gracious donation to cover that cost.
