GRAYVILLE RESIDENT SENTENCED IN EDWARDS COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT

39-year-old Zachary D. Powell of Grayville, has been sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty to a Class-3 felony charge of failing to register as a violent offender against youth in Edwards County.

 

Along with his prison term, Judge Michael J. Valentine ordered Powell to serve six months of mandatory supervised release following his release. His Edwards County sentence will run concurrently with a five-year sentence he received in Wayne County for possession of less than five grams of meth, as well as another five-year sentence in Richland County for the same charge. Additionally, Powell was ordered to pay court costs associated with the Edwards County case.
