Bret Bielema has never lost against Minnesota. Tomorrow’s game kicks off at 11:00AM and the game can be heard on the Learfield Radio Network on WFIW-AM 1390.

MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL NEWS:
The St. Louis Cardinals are revamping their pitching staff. The club declined the team options of reliever Keynan Middleton and starters Lance Lynn and Kyle Gibson. The decision to not retain the players will save St. Louis 26-million dollars as they head into the 2024-25 offseason. Lynn went 7-and-4 with a 3.84 ERA in 23 starts in his first season back with the Cardinals since 2017. Meanwhile, Gibson was 8-and-8 with a 4.24 ERA, and Middleton missed the seasons with a right forearm injury.

The Chicago Cubs have a new third base coach. The team hired former Major Leaguer Quintin Berry to the position yesterday. Berry has spent the last four seasons as Milwaukee’s first base coach, so he was on now-Cubs manager Craig Counsell’s staff for three of those years. Berry takes over for Willie Harris, who was let go at the end of the 2024 campaign.

The Chicago White Sox are parting ways with a franchise player. The team declined the 25-million dollar option for infielder Yoan Moncada yesterday. The White Sox will instead buy-out Moncada’s deal for five-million dollars, making the 29-year-old a free agent. The Southsiders acquired Moncada before the 2017 season in a deal that sent Chris Sale to Boston. Moncada garnered MVP votes in 2019 but has struggled for much of the last five season. He hit .275 with no home runs and no RBI in 12 games this past season.
