Petitions for the Consolidated Election to be held on April 1st, 2025 for the election of Mayor, City Clerk, First Ward Alderman, Second Ward Alderman, Third Ward Alderman, and Fourth Ward Alderman for the City of Fairfield are available in the office of City Clerk Tina Hutchcraft. Office hours are 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
A Mayor, City Clerk and one alderman from each of the City’s four wards will be elected for a four-year term.
Filing period for those petitions is November 12th through November 18th. The office of the City Clerk will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. beginning November 12th through November 18th for the purpose of accepting candidate petitions for the consolidated election to be held April 1st, 2025. The office will remain open until 5:00 p.m. on November 18, 2024 and the office closes 12:00 – 1:00 for lunch each day. All petitions filed by persons waiting in line at the office of the local election official as of 7:00 a.m. on the first day of filing shall be deemed simultaneously filed and a filing-lottery will be held.
Should a simultaneous lottery/lotteries be necessary, the lotteries will be scheduled for Friday, November 22nd at 9:00 a.m. in the City Clerk’s office.
