FAIRFIELD WOMAN ARRESTED FOR DOMESTIC BATTERY, RESISTING ARREST

Wayne County Sheriff’s Department arrested a Fairfield woman Wednesday night.  Deputies say 37-year-old Abby Koontz was taken into custody around 8 o’clock at a rural Fairfield residence on charges of Domestic Battery and Resisting or Obstructing a Peace Officer. When deputies attempted to place Koontz under arrest, she resisted and had to be restrained.  Koontz was transported and booked into the Wayne County Jail pending a court appearance.
