The Wayne County Board held a special meeting last (Thursday) night at the Wayne County Courthouse. A new three year FOP contract was unanimously approved. After much discussion with office holders and members of the board, the FY 24-25 budget was approved. The total budget approved was $2,326, 903. Eleven members voted yes with Randy Hedrick voting present.
The 2024-2025 levy was unanimously approved and for the third year in a row, there will be NO levy increase for Wayne County Taxpayers. The levy is down over $200.000 which represents a nearly 16 percent saving for taxpayers over last year.
The regular scheduled meeting of the Wayne County Board will be held next Thursday (November 14th) in the upstairs courtroom of the Wayne County Courthouse beginning at 7pm.
