Tomorrow (Tuesday) is the first day petitions can be filed for the April 1st, 2025 consolidated election in the City Of Fairfield. The office of the City Clerk will be open from 7:00am to 4:00pm beginning tomorrow (Tuesday) through Monday, November 18th. The office will remain open until 5:00pm next Monday and the office closes from12:00pm to 1:00pm for lunch each day. All petitions filed by persons waiting in line at the city clerk’s office as of 7:00am tomorrow, the first day of filing shall be deemed simultaneously filed and a filing-lottery will be held. Should a simultaneous lottery/lotteries be necessary, the lotteries will be scheduled for Friday, November 22nd at 9:00am in the City Clerk’s office.
A Mayor, City Clerk and one alderman from each of the City’s four wards will be elected for a four-year term.
