McLeansboro is gearing up for a day full of festive holiday cheer this Saturday, with a variety of Christmas events planned for the entire community to enjoy.
The celebrations kick off early with Breakfast with Santa, hosted at Fox Meadows Independent Living from 8 to 10am. Families can share a meal with the jolly man himself, making for a delightful start to the day.
From there, holiday shoppers can head over to the Christmas Market, set up in the Old High School Gym. Open from 9am to 2pm, the market will feature an array of seasonal gifts, crafts, and goodies.
For those who love stories and crafts, the Women’s Leadership Council invites families to the McCoy Library from 2 to 3pm for a cozy Christmas-themed activity.
Following this, the library will host an open house and tours from 3 to 7pm., offering visitors a chance to explore the decorated space.
Over at the Courthouse lobby, the Hamilton County Rotary will present Santa’s Workshop from 3 to 5pm. Children can participate in holiday crafts and enjoy meeting Santa in this fun, interactive setting.
The excitement continues as the town’s Christmas Parade begins at 5:30pm, lighting up the streets with floats, music, and plenty of holiday spirit.
After the parade, the festivities move to the Courthouse basement, where Hamilton County 4-H and HCE will host an evening of games and hot chocolate with Santa. Rounding out the weekend, the Hamilton County Chamber’s Winter Wonderland Lighted Walk Through will be open at Greg James Park.
The event kicks off this evening and invites visitors to stroll through a beautifully illuminated holiday display.
