At the 2024 Illinois Farm Bureau Annual Meeting in Chicago, the Edwards County Farm Bureau was awarded the prestigious Pinnacle Award. The Pinnacle Award is awarded to the number one county Farm Bureau in each membership group for their outstanding programs and activities, as well as, achieving membership quota. It is based on the overall rank of all program areas.
This is the fourth year in a row, the county Farm Bureau has won the Pinnacle Award. It is the 17th time in 25 years that Edwards County has won the highest award possible. Previous awards were won in 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2023. (in 2020 no awards were given).
“It is very humbling to win this award again this year,” stated Rebecca Perry, FBCM. “We are excelling in helping our members and community; it really is an all-around community effort to win this award. It is a blessing and an honor to bring this award back to Edwards County again.”
“Everything that was accomplished is because of the volunteers and staff of this organization,” stated Kenny Clodfelter, President. “To win this award again, it is a lot of hard work, something that our staff and volunteers are obviously willing to do. Everyone associated with the Farm Bureau should be commended on their efforts during the past year and all previous years.”
In addition to the President’s Award, Edwards County was awarded the Liberty Bell Award. This award is given out to the county in each membership group that is tops in local affairs and legislative efforts. Edwards County also received six County Activities of Excellence awards for Farm Bureau programs available for Membership Group One; one gold, four silvers, and one bronze.
