Officials at the Edwards County Courthouse continue to rally community support to honor the late Resident Circuit Judge Michael Valentine with a commemorative bench.
The bench, which will cost $348 and require 200 pounds of plastic to produce, will serve as a lasting tribute to Judge Valentine. So far in two weeks, more than the 200 lb goal of plastic caps and lids have been dropped off.
Organizers are still collecting monetary donations and for those that would like to contribute, you can drop off your donation at the Edwards County Supervisor of Assessor’s office inside the Edwards County Courthouse in Albion.
