COLLEGE BASKETBALL FROM SATURDAY:
The Illinois Fighting Illini took number-one Tennessee down to the wire during a 66-64 loss at State Farm Center on Saturday. Jordan Gainey hit a game-winning lay-up at the buzzer for the Vols. Kasparas Jakucionis had 22 points in the losing effort. The Illini fell to 7-and-3 overall, and they remain 1-and-1 in Big Ten play. Illinois takes on Mizzou next Sunday.

MLB NEWS:
The Chicago Cubs are turning up the hot stove. The Cubs traded for Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker on Friday. The Northsiders sent third baseman Isaac Paredes, pitcher Hayden Wesneski, and prospect Cam Smith to Houston to complete the trade. Tucker has made the AL All-Star team in each of the last three seasons. The 27-year-old his .289 with 23 home runs and 49 RBI in 78 games last season.
