TUCKER SEEKS TO WITHDRAW GUILTY PLEA IN FAIRFIELD TEENS DEATH

Jeremy L. Tucker of Fairfield has submitted a motion to withdraw his guilty plea related to charges stemming from a fatal collision that killed 15-year-old RE Carter. The incident occurred on June 5th of last year when Tucker, under the influence of meth, was driving an oilfield truck that collided with a dirt bike. Currently serving a 14-year prison sentence for aggravated DUI causing death, Tucker is requesting to vacate both his sentence and the guilty plea he entered on October 29th.

 

As part of the legal proceedings, a judge has instructed the court reporter to prepare a 114-page transcript of Tucker’s sentencing hearing. The timeline for a court date to reconsider his motion has yet to be established. Meanwhile, Tucker remains incarcerated at the Graham Correctional Center, with his earliest eligibility for parole set for June 18, 2035.
