WAYNE CITY FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDS TO STRUCTURE FIRE MONDAY NIGHT

Wayne City Fire Department responded to a fully engulfed detached garage fire just after 8:30 last (Monday) night at 642 North Main St. in Wayne City.  Wayne City Fire Chief, Scott Clark say the fire was quickly knocked down with no damage to the residence.  McLeansboro Fire Department provided mutual aid on the scene while the Jefferson County Fire District and Orchardville Fire Department provided station coverage.  Chief Clark says the garage and contents are considered a total loss and no injuries were reported.  Clark says foul play is not suspected.
