MLB NEWS:
There appears to be a reconciliation between the Cubs and Sammy Sosa. The seven-time All-Star and 1998 National League MVP released a statement yesterday in which he apologized and acknowledged that he made mistakes during playing career. Afterwards, Cubs executive chairman Tom Ricketts extended an invitation for Sosa to attend the 2025 Cubs Convention next month. The rift between the two sides stemmed from Sosa’s repeated denials that he used performance-enhancing drugs.
